Generation of Miracles
Daiki Aomine and Lebron James
![]() |
Aomine streetball style |
Daiki Aomine’s position and skills
- Power Forward
- “Street Ball” Style
- Formless Shot (shooting the ball where his body is almost parallel to the ground)
- Can make shots in any position or angle
- Swift and Versatile
- Zone Play
Why Lebron James?
Like
Aomine, Lebron James could be considered the “ace” in any team he is
on, Miami Heat or Cleveland Cavaliers. Aomine’s famous words, “The only
one who can beat me, is me,” are appropriate words to describe Lebron
James because a majority of us can all agree that Lebron James is one of
the greatest players in the world. James is difficult to defend single
handedly, and his offensive and defensive strength is very powerful.
Like Aomine, James is agile and versatile. He has amazing ball handling
skills and can score: three pointers, mid-range jump shots, slam dunks,
and in-transition points.
Ryōta Kise and Anthony Davis

Ryōta Kise’s Position and Skills:
Shintarō Midorima and James Harden

Midorima's half court shot |
Shintarō Midorima’s Position and Skills
- Shooting Guard
- Able to make three point shots anywhere on the court (half-court and full-court)
Why James Harden?
James
Harden is currently a shooting guard for the Houston Rockets. Although
he can’t make a three pointer at backcourt all the time like Midorima,
Harden can make some of the most ridiculous, tough shots. One could
describe James Harden as tactical and precise when it comes to drawing
fouls on opponents during shot attempts. By doing so, he is able to get
to the foul line and shoot free throws.
Atsushi Murasakibara and Marc Gasol
![]() |
Murasakibara's Vice Claw |
Atsushi Murasakibara’s Skills and Position:
- Center
- Overpowered offensive and defensive strength
- Thor’s Hammer
- Zone Play
Why Marc Gasol?
Marc
Gasol currently plays for the Memphis Grizzlies as a center. He is an
excellent, all-around offensive and defensive player. He has incredible
height and strength that allows him to get rebounds on both ends of the
floor.
Seijūrō Akashi and Chris Paul and Derrick Rose
Seijūrō Akashi’s Skills and Positions:
- Point Guard
- Excellent leadership and playmaking skills
- Emperor’s Eye (He can predict the moves of his opponents on offense and defense)
- Incredible speed
- Triple Threat Penetration
- “Ankle break” dribbles
- Zone Play
Why Chris Paul and Derrick Rose?
Chris
Paul plays for the LA Clippers and Derrick Rose plays for the Chicago
Bulls. Both individuals play the point guard position, and are able to
create amazing plays for themselves and their teammates. In addition,
they have amazing crossovers and ankle breaker moves when the ball is in
their hands. They can also dunk the ball, and make quality perimeter
shots.
Tetsuya Kuroko and Andre Igoudala
![]() |
Misdirection |
Tetsuya Kuroko’s Position and Skills:
- No specific position
- Misdirection (Overflow)/Excellent passer (can make some good plays or assists to his fellow teammates)
- Swift on his feet (which enable him to make steals)
- Ignite Pass and Ignite Pass Kai
- Vanishing Drive
- Phantom Shot
Why Andre Igoudala?
It
was a difficult task to figure out which Golden State Warrior best
exemplifies Kuroko’s skills and talents because Kuroko is such a unique
character, and you don’t actually see his type of playing style in real
life basketball. Since Kuroko is able to change the pace of the game and
has various skills that support his teammates, I picked Andre Igoudala.
Igoudala
is able to help his team both on the offensive and defensive ends. On
defense, he can create defensive stops and get steals. On offense, he
can drive the ball into the paint and get quick in-transition points;
shoot jumpers, and three-point shots. This season he became a “sixth
man” for the Golden State Warriors, just like Kuroko was for the
“Generation of Miracles.” Their “sixth man” presences became a great
asset and changed the flow of the game on both sides of the floor.
Taiga Kagami and Harrison Barnes
![]() |
Meteor Jam |
Taiga Kagami’s Position and Skills:
- Power Forward
- Incredible jumping power
- Overpowering offensive and defensive strength
- Incredible speed
- Meteor Jam (able to dunk the ball at the free throw line)
Why Harrison Barnes?
Both
Harrison Barnes and Taiga Kagami can jump to great heights. Whether it
is dunking a ball or blocking a shot, these two are blessed with the
gift of flight. Barnes is nicknamed “The Black Falcon,” which some of
you maybe wondering why he is given that title. One could assume that it
is due to his long arms looking like wings as he elevates off the
ground to dunk the ball into the hoop. Being able to jump really high
is a skill that is incredible to see as a spectator. So that is why I
paired these two together.
